1. Who we are
Lifetribe Global Limited, a company registered in Ireland, operates faffno ("the Service"). We are the data controller for the personal data processed in connection with your use of the Service. For privacy questions, contact us at hello@faffno.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, login credentials, profile picture.
- Service content: events, notes, entities and any other content you add.
- Calendar data: if you connect Google Calendar, the events we sync per your authorisation.
- Support communications: messages you send us.
- Usage data: device, browser, IP address, pages visited, feature interactions.
- Subscription metadata: tier, status, renewal dates (payment card details are handled by Paddle, not us).
3. Why we use your data
- To create and maintain your account (contract performance);
- To provide and personalise the Service (contract performance);
- To process payments and manage subscriptions, via Paddle (contract / legal obligation);
- To prevent fraud and keep the Service secure (legitimate interests);
- To improve the product and fix bugs (legitimate interests);
- To respond to support requests (contract performance);
- To send essential service emails (contract performance) and, where you've opted in, marketing emails (consent).
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data under the GDPR on the bases of contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, or compliance with legal obligations, as outlined above.
5. Who we share data with
- Service providers (sub-processors): hosting, database, authentication, analytics, customer support tooling, and AI providers used to power features of the Service.
- Paddle (Merchant of Record): for processing your purchase, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Google: if you choose to connect your Google Calendar, to read events under the scopes you authorise.
- Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and compliance advisers where necessary.
- Authorities: where required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions issued by the European Commission.
7. How long we keep data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, unless we need to retain certain records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Have inaccurate data corrected;
- Have your data erased ("right to be forgotten");
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Data portability — receive your data in a portable format;
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it;
- Lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) or your local supervisory authority.

9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and managed cloud infrastructure — to protect your personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond promptly to any incidents.
10. Cookies
faffno uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. We may also use limited analytics to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break parts of the Service.
11. Children
faffno is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
